Round 1: Ring and Head begin with Ring circling and picking his shots. Ring gets the clinch and lands some strikes while there. Ring doing a good job of using the front kick. Later, he gets the strong takedown and gets into side control. He stacks up and lands some punches standing while Head was on his back. Head returns to the feet and Ring moves forward, but gets caught with a strike that wobbles him. Head goes in to finish, but Ring is able to recover and get back up. A right hand and short elbows find their way for Head, but Ring gets the takedown. While in halfguard, Ring lands short elbows and the round ends.
Round 2: Second round begins and Ring gets the takedown early. Now in side control, Ring works to get a triable from the top. He lets it go and transitions to the other side for side control. Now, the fight returns to the feet and Ring scores another takedown. Ring gets in some strikes and opens up Head’s forehead. Ring continues to work and get strikes in and the referee calls time due to the cut being really bloody. The doctors check it out and let him fight. The fight continues with Ring in side control throwing elbows while Head continues to bleed. The round ends and Head goes to his corner bloodied.
Round 3: Ring gets the takedown in the first minute of the final round. He works in Head’s guard and throws a combination of hammer fists and punches. He stands up and lands some punches while Head is on his back. Ring goes back down with his opponent and continues to rain strikes, transitioning from side-control to north-south easily. Head looks gassed and overwhelmed. Ring takes his back and locks in the rear naked choke for the win.
