Guida earned $37,000 in “show” money and an additional $37,000 win bonus, according to the official payroll figures disclosed to Sherdog.com Monday by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. As always, the numbers do not include any discretionary or “locker room” bonuses which a promoter may choose to award.
Second to Guida was middleweight Ed Herman, who netted $48,000 (including a $24,000 win bonus) with his 48-second thumping of “Crazy” Tim Credeur ($10,000).
Other top earners included lightweight Jeremy Stephens ($40,000), light heavyweight Kyle Kingsbury ($20,000) and bantamweight Scott Jorgensen ($29,000). Despite being dominated for the better part of three rounds, Josh Grispi ($15,000) earned a higher disclosed salary than the man who beat him, George Roop ($12,000).
All eight competitors from the cast of “TUF 13” received a base pay of $8,000 with an additional $8,000 to win, including season-winner Tony Ferguson, who grabbed an additional $40,000 in “Knockout of the Night” money by felling Ramsey Nijem in the first round.
