It’s been quite the long roller coaster ride for Ed Herman. He had been out of active competition for nearly two years when he came back at Saturday night’s TUF 13 Finale.
Herman suffered a career threatening knee injury in his fight with Aaron Simpson at UFC 102 in August of 2009. He was left wondering whether or not he’d ever set foot in the Octagon again.
But now, after relocating to Ft. Collins, Colo., he’s come back and in a big way, with a 48-second knockout of Tim Credeur. Herman was emotional after the victory, giving thanks to his teammates Ryan Schultz and Robert Follis.
MMAWeekly.com spoke one-on-one with Herman shortly after his victory and talked about his struggles to get back to his fight career and who he would like to fight in the future.
