Remaining Trio of UFC 130 Prelims to Stream on Facebook

The UFC announced Tuesday that the Facebook stream will feature Bart Palaszewski versus Gleison Tibau, Renan “Barao” Pegado (Pictured) versus Cole Escovedo, and Chris Cariaso versus Michael McDonald.

UFC 130, which goes down May 28 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will be headlined by a light heavyweight confrontation between Quinton Jackson and Matt Hamill.

Palaszewski recently had a four-fight win streak snapped by Kamal Shalorus, as “Bartimus” dropped a hard-fought split decision to “The Prince of Persia” in December. The former International Fight League competitor is a nine-year veteran of the sport and has 35 career victories to his credit.

Representing American Top Team, Tibau rebounded from a 2010 unanimous decision loss to Jim Miller by earning a split verdict over Kurt Pellegrino in March. The Brazilian began his UFC career in 2006 and has racked up a record of 8-5 inside the Octagon.

Beaten only once in six years as a professional, Pegado made his North American in June 2010, when he submitted Anthony Leone with an armbar at WEC 49. Most recently, the Nova Uniao fighter bested the aforementioned Cariaso at WEC 53 in December, locking up an armbar at 3:47 of the opening frame.

Escovedo, 29, recently rebounded from back-to-back defeats to McDonald and Michihiro Omigawa, losing by knockout and submission, respectively. After posting a 2-2 record in 2010, the former WEC featherweight king submitted Steven Siler with a triangle choke in January.

Cariaso has won five of his last six fights. A Strikeforce and EliteXC veteran, “Kamikaze” made his WEC debut in June 2010, earning a unanimous nod over Rafael Rebello before falling by submission to “Barao” in December. In his last outing, Cariaso outpointed Will Campuzano at January’s UFC “Fight for the Troops 2.”

At only 20 years of age, McDonald already has 13 pro fights to his credit. His lone loss came to Escovedo in their first bout at Palace Fighting Championships 13 in 2009. McDonald debuted with the WEC in November, submitting Clint Godfrey with a first-round armbar at WEC 52. The young gun was also successful in his UFC debut, having his hand raised after a three-round war with Edwin Figueroa at UFC Fight Night 24 in March.
