The week kicked off with Ricardo Almeida, who recently announced his retirement from fighting to join the ranks of mixed martial arts officials. Strikeforce fighter Lyle Beerbohm was also on the week’s opening show.

Tuesday’s radio show was loaded with Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez stopping by before he went off to stake his claim for the top spot in the lightweight rankings, as did former UFC fan favorite Marcus Davis, and MMA manager Malki Kawa.

Wednesday featured a Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley preview edition with welterweight fighter Scott Smith, as well as ESPN’s Josh Gross and former MMAWeekly Radio co-host Jeff Cain. Ricky Kottenstette from Jackson’s MMA also joined the show to give us an update on his team and their next MMA event.
