UFC 128 Prelim Telecast On Spike Back To Normal Levels

UFC 128 PosterSaturday night’s telecast of UFC 128 Prelims Live on Spike TV returned to more normal levels after the UFC 126 Prelims Live special set records for the network.

UFC 128 Prelims Live was top-billed by Luiz Cane making quick work of Eliot Marshall. Prior to that fight, Edson Barboza, Jr., took a unanimous decision from Anthony Njokuani in their UFC 128 “Figth of the Night” performance.

Those two fights weren’t enough to build on the momentum of the UFC 126 prelims that drew 2.0 million viewers. The UFC 128 Prelims Live drew an average of 1.3 million viewers over the hour-long telecast, just below the series average of 1.45 million viewers per episode.

The prelim special on Spike TV is expected to continue with UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields. Nate Diaz against Rory MacDonald and Brian Foster facing Sean Pierson are the likely candidates for the UFC 129 Prelims Live telecast on April 30.
