Failing to make weight for his fight with Jon Fitch, Thiago Alves was on his last leg in the welterweight division, at least as far as UFC president Dana White was concerned.

Alves received another change, went out and got some help with his diet and weight cutting, and the results were nothing short of phenomenal as displayed in his fight with John Howard at UFC 124.
