Alan Belcher and Wilson Gouveia turned their 3:03 stand-up affair into matching $65,000 “Fight of the Night” bonuses at UFC 107 “Penn vs. Sanchez” on Saturday at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn. Belcher put away the American Top Team standout with a beautiful right uppercut and follow-up punches.

Fighting at a 195-pound catchweight in his hometown, the 25-year-old Belcher pocketed his second FOTN bonus in as many appearances, as he secured his third win in four fights. The talented Duke Roufus protégé earned an extra $100,000 after he engaged Yoshihiro Akiyama in a spirited three-round middleweight bout at UFC 100 in July.

Belcher, openly displeased with his placement on the preliminary portion of the lineup, was not the only man to benefit from Zuffa LLC’s post-fight windfall at UFC 107.

Canadian T.J. Grant banked a $65,000 “Knockout of the Night” bonus after he dispatched Kevin Burns on strikes with three seconds remaining in their welterweight matchup. A Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt under Jorge Gurgel, Grant bounced back nicely from his unanimous decision defeat to the unbeaten Dong Hyun Kim five months ago.

Finally, “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 9 runner-up DaMarques Johnson bagged a $65,000 “Submission of the Night” bonus, as he coaxed a tapout from Edgar Garcia with a first-round triangle choke.
